In Germany alone, in 2023, over 100 women will have become victims of femicide by the International Day against Violence against Women on November 25th.*

My mother has been fighting against domestic violence for decades and now runs a women's and children's shelter. To support them and give the public an insight into this otherwise secret place, I accompanied my mother to work and took photos. The photos not only show a shelter but also represent stories of hope.
